documented training, verified installation standards, and ongoing accountability.
It is not something every contractor in Utah holds.
Why it matters to you: ShingleMaster certified contractors can offer enhanced
manufacturer warranties that uncertified installers cannot. It also means the
crew installing your roof has been trained specifically on the products going
on your home.
CTI Roofing has held CertainTeed ShingleMaster certification for years. Every
roof we install meets the manufacturer's standards for materials and workmanship.
We back that with our own 5-year workmanship warranty on top.

Every Shingle We Install. And When Each One Makes Sense.

Not Sure Which Shingle?
Installation Is More Than Nailing Shingles. Here Is What We Actually Do.
Ice and Water Shield : Applied at eaves, valleys, and all penetration points before anything else goes on.
Synthetic Underlayment : A higher-performing base layer installed across the full deck surface.
CertainTeed Shingles : Installed according to manufacturer specifications by a ShingleMaster certified crew.
New Flashing : Replaced at all walls, chimneys, vents, and penetrations as part of the installation.
Proper Ventilation : Ridge cap and ventilation installed to manufacturer specifications for long-term roof performance.
Full Site Cleanup : Magnetic sweep, debris removal, and complete cleanup before we leave. Most homeowners say they could not tell we had been there.
5-Year Workmanship Warranty : Covers the installation itself for five years. If something goes wrong with how the roof was installed, we come back and fix it.

Common Questions About Roof Installation
What is a CertainTeed ShingleMaster and why does it matter?
ShingleMaster is a manufacturer certification that verifies the installer
has been trained and approved by CertainTeed to install their products correctly. It also unlocks enhanced manufacturer warranty options that uncertified contractors cannot offer. CTI holds this certification on every job we install.
What is the difference between architectural and impact resistant shingles?
Architectural shingles are the standard choice for most homes, offering good durability and a dimensional look. Impact resistant shingles are engineered to withstand hail and storm debris more effectively. For the highest level of protection, Class 4 shingles carry the top impact resistance rating available. We can help you choose based on your specific roof and location.
How long does a roof installation take?
Most full installations are completed in a single day. Our crew handles the full job from underlayment to cleanup in one visit. Larger or more complex roofs may take two days. We confirm the timeline before work begins.
What does the 5-year workmanship warranty cover?
It covers how the roof was installed, not just the materials. If there is an installation-related issue within five years, CTI will return and correct it. Most contractors in Northern Utah offer one to two years of workmanship coverage.
Do you help with material selection before the job starts?
Yes. We walk you through each shingle option, explain the differences honestly, and help you choose based on your budget, your roof design, and your goals. There is no pressure toward a more expensive option.
Can you help if the installation is part of an insurance claim?
Yes. If storm damage is driving the installation, CTI can document the damage, work with your adjuster, and help you understand your coverage options.
